Introduction
For some time now, I have been promising/threatening to produce an "obituaries" page for my ATZ campaign. When I sat down to the task, though, it seemed more appropriate to create a Cast List instead. The difference? Mainly this: the latter includes characters who are still alive as well as those who succumbed. I can thus catalogue the appearances of all my characters.Note that I've only listed player characters here. This means that a number of other named figures do not appear in this list. Left out for this reason are gamesmaster-controlled figures: a few gangers and quite a number of policemen and women (including the ever-popular Officer Columbo). I'm still debating the wisdom of omitting them. On the one hand it saves me a great deal of work, since most of these minor characters only appeared in a single episode. On the other hand, this article feels incomplete without them. Hmm.
At the time of writing, this cast list includes all my ATZ campaign games from #1 to #9. I'm not sure if or how this list should be updated when further games are played...

I really like this, may have to steal in a future game, sorry.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome :-) .
DeleteHe He I really like this list bit like a cast for a movie.
ReplyDeleteThat's the idea - though I didn't go so far as to put in catchphrases or memorable quotes!
DeleteLol I like this a lot,
ReplyDeleteHad to chuckle at Corporal Van Damme being labeled as " Psycho killer"
"Psycho killer"? Just my opinion :-) .
DeleteReally good idea and a nice way to post links to the "episodes" thus far.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sean. I just hope I got it all correct; there's a lot of data here!
DeleteExcellent article and a good reminder of who's appeared, who's alive and who died. Regarding your decision to omit your GM-controlled characters, I think that was a mistake. Perhaps you could do a follow up article listing just them.
ReplyDeleteHmm. OK, I hear you - maybe I'll produce more of this in the future.
DeleteGreat idea well executed , i will be pinching that one for my occasional Cowboy campaign update..
ReplyDeletePlease do :-) !
DeleteHow good is this post. Great idea. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure that this article would be of much interest to anyone not actively playing in the campaign, so I'm delighted that you enjoyed it!
DeleteGreat reminder of the characters that could have main players and instead became zombie fodder and those who's adventures we still follow. (I had high hopes for Cap. Salty 'cos I lIked the figure - it's go Edna now !)
ReplyDeleteI think quite a few of us liked Salty. However, I can't see Edna going very far. Having said that, she did kill a zombie unaided. Who knows what the old bat might be capable of :-) ?
DeleteI think Edna has a bright future if we manage to secure some vehicle transport.
ReplyDeleteExcellent little article - showing the benefits of stopping to take stock amid all the action and heroism.
The little pictures of the characters really add to the short micro-biographies.
Yes, I think that acquiring some transport seems like a good next step! I'm not convinced that Edna will ever be anything other than a dependent, though!
